The Transport Advantage

Fuengirola is the best-connected town on this coast. It is the western terminus of the Málaga suburban train line, roughly 20 minutes from the airport by road, and half an hour from Marbella — the only place on the western Costa del Sol with a rail connection. That matters more than it sounds.

The C-1 Train to Málaga

The Cercanías C-1 line runs from Fuengirola through Benalmádena and Torremolinos to Málaga airport and the city centre, roughly every twenty minutes, taking about 45 minutes end to end. Nowhere else on this coast has that — Marbella has no railway station at all. For a short trip or an airport-adjacent night, it removes the entire question of transfers. Value Without a Quality Drop

What Is Nearby

Mijas Pueblo Above
