None of it is a problem if we hear about it in time, and our policy rests on one practical question: can the evening still be given to someone else? How Much Notice Do You Need to Cancel or Change?
Notice scales with how much of her diary a booking takes and how long we need to offer that time to another client. Two hours is enough to re-offer an hourly visit; a week away needs seven days. Change or cancel before these windows close and nothing is owed, whatever the reason.
The Windows, Booking by Booking
These are the windows we apply in 2026. The second column is the latest moment to move or cancel at no cost; the third is what happens after it. Every booking made ahead carries a deposit of 25% of the total; a booking made on the day carries none.

Why Two Hours Is Enough for an Hour but Not for a Night
The window is the time it takes to give the slot back. Most same-day requests reach us between 18:00 and midnight, so an hourly booking cancelled at 19:00 for 21:00 is usually taken by someone else. An overnight on an August Saturday is different: by the Wednesday before, she has turned down every other request for that night, and on the day there is nobody left to offer it to. Marbella's hotels were 84.6% full in August 2026 against 37.8% in January, according to INE figures published by the town hall, which is why a summer cancellation is harder to absorb than a winter one. Moving the Time, the Date or the Length
A change is not a cancellation. Move the start time, the date or the length before the window closes and nothing is lost: any deposit moves with the booking and we quote the new total before confirming. Inside the window we still try, and usually succeed, except on peak-week Saturdays.
Pushing the Start Time on the Day
The most common change we handle is a later start. Send the new time as soon as you know it: "21:00 is now 22:30" is a complete message. If she is free, the booking moves and keeps its full length. If she has something after you, we offer the shorter version or a companion who is free for the whole time. Moving earlier is harder, because she may still be getting ready or crossing town; with an hour's notice it usually works inside Marbella, less often for Estepona or Benahavís, 25 to 35 minutes away by car.
Moving to Another Date
Before the window closes, move as often as you need. Inside it, we move a booking once, to any date within 30 days, and any deposit goes with it; the exception is a peak-week Saturday changed on the day, when the evening is already lost. The price does not change with the date, because our rates are the same on every day and in every month. What changes is whether she is free: a Wednesday moved to a Saturday is harder to place than the reverse, and our weekend vs weekday breakdown shows which nights fill first.
Shortening Instead of Cancelling
If the evening has shrunk rather than disappeared, say so. An overnight that becomes a dinner date costs the dinner-date price, €900 for three hours or €1,200 for four, and the overnight deposit is credited against it. Four hours cut to two works the same way. It costs far less than losing the booking and takes one message. The reverse works too: a dinner date that is going well can become an overnight on the night, provided she is free the next morning.
What Does a Late Cancellation Cost?
For a same-day booking, which carries no deposit, nothing until she sets off and the price of her taxi once she has. For a booking made ahead, the 25% deposit covers the time she held for you, and comes back to you in full if we refill it.
Same-Day Bookings: The Taxi Rule
A same-day booking has no deposit, so a late cancellation costs only what she has already spent getting to you. Marbella's 2026 taxi tariff at night and at weekends is €4.64 plus €1.41 a kilometre, so a ride from the old town to Puerto Banús comes to about €20. If you cancel after she has set off, that fare is all we ask; outside the municipality it is more. If you cancel before she leaves, even with ten minutes to spare, the cost is nothing. The rule protects her evening, not our margin.
Bookings Made Ahead: The Deposit Is Kept Unless We Refill the Time
Every booking made ahead carries a 25% deposit; same-day bookings carry none. Inside the window the deposit is kept, because she has already said no to other work for those hours. If another client books her for the same time, we return it in full: in October that happens often, on an August Saturday almost never. No-Shows: The Twenty Minutes in the Lobby
A no-show is a cancellation with no notice and no message. She waits twenty minutes at the hotel while she and our team try your phone, then leaves. On a booking made ahead the deposit is kept; on a same-day booking we ask you to cover her taxi, and whether you do is your call.
What Actually Happens at the Door
She arrives at the agreed time, dressed for the hotel, and messages you from the entrance or the bar. We call you at five minutes and again at fifteen. At twenty, she leaves. At a hotel on the Golden Mile that means calling a taxi after midnight, and on a summer weekend the wait for one can be longer than the booking would have been. The cost to her is the evening, the fare and an hour or two of getting home.
Asleep, Lost or Out of Battery
Honest no-shows happen: a long lunch, a nap that became the night, a phone that died at the beach club. If you surface within the hour and she is still free, we send her back and you pay only the second taxi. If you surface the next morning, one message explaining it is enough. Silence is what makes a no-show hard on her, because a companion standing in a lobby with an unanswered phone cannot tell whether the booking is off or whether something has gone wrong.
Flight Delays, Storms and Cancelled Boats
Changes forced by an airline, the weather or a skipper are never charged. Send the delay notice or the skipper's message as soon as you have it and we push the start, shorten the booking or move it to the next day. Málaga airport handled 26.8 million passengers in 2025, according to Aena, so late arrivals are routine.
When Your Flight Lands Late
Central Marbella is about 55 km from Málaga's Terminal 3: 40 to 45 minutes by car off-peak, closer to an hour on an August Friday. For an arrival-night booking we suggest a start at least two hours after the scheduled landing; if the flight slips, forward the airline's new time and we move the start to match. Land after 1am and we will suggest the next evening. On flights covered by the EU's air passenger rules, arriving three hours late can earn €250–€600 from the airline; we ask for nothing either way. Wind, Rain and the Yacht Day
Rain is rarely the problem. AEMET's 1981–2010 normals for Málaga airport give 42.3 days a year with a millimetre or more, just 0.1 in July and most of the 534 mm falling between October and April. Wind is the problem. A strong levante or poniente makes a half-day charter uncomfortable, and the skipper decides, usually the evening before or early that morning. If the boat is called off, your yacht companion booking becomes a dinner date or moves to the next calm day without charge; what the charter company refunds is between you and the boat.
What Happens If We Have to Change Your Companion?
You hear it from us as soon as we know, never at the door. We offer two or three companions of a similar style, with links to their profiles, hold the agreed price even if the replacement normally charges more, and refund any deposit the same day if none of them suits you.
Why It Happens and How Early You Will Know
Illness, a delayed flight of her own, a family emergency, occasionally a previous booking that ran late. It happens a few times a season, not a few times a week. For bookings made days ahead you will usually hear a day or more before; on the day, we aim for at least two hours. Your Three Options, and a Late Arrival
Take an alternative at the agreed price, or at her lower rate if she charges less. Wait for your original companion and move the booking to a date she is back. Or cancel, and any deposit comes back in full, as money rather than a credit. What never happens is a different woman arriving unannounced: that is bait-and-switch, one of the patterns in our red flags post. If she is running late instead, we send you the new arrival time and the booking runs its full length from when she arrives; past 45 minutes late, you can cancel without charge.
Booking When Your Plans Are Not Fixed Yet
If the evening is uncertain, say so when you book. We can hold a companion provisionally until a time we agree, book the later slot rather than the earlier one, or suggest a format with a shorter window. A provisional hold costs nothing and lapses automatically at the agreed time, so nobody waits on a maybe.
Provisional Holds and Release Times
Tell us the plan is not fixed and name the time you will know: "Friday from 22:00 if the dinner ends early, I'll confirm by 18:00." We hold her until then and release her automatically if we have not heard. In July and August, and on New Year's Eve, holds run until noon on the day at the latest, because those evenings fill fast. Book the Later Slot, Not the Earlier One
A 22:00 start survives a dinner that overruns; a 20:00 start does not. If the first half of your evening is unpredictable, such as a business dinner, a boat that returns when it returns or a long lunch in Puerto Banús, book the companion for after it. On arrival days, book the following evening. For an overnight, a 23:00 start costs the same as a 21:00 one and leaves two hours of slack. In our experience this one habit prevents most late changes.
