- Moving a date is almost always better than cancelling one — the deposit follows the booking
- Notice windows scale with the booking: 4 hours for hourly, 24 hours for a dinner date, 48 hours for an overnight, a week for travel
- Inside the window, a deposit is retained because your companion has already turned other work down
- Peak August weekends are the hardest to move; winter weekdays are the easiest
- Tell us as early as you can — an early cancellation costs nothing, a silent no-show costs the full booking
Plans on this coast change constantly, and usually for enjoyable reasons: dinner that runs three hours long, a boat that comes back when it comes back, a meeting that turns into an evening. Any agency that has operated in Marbella for more than a season expects it. What matters is not whether you change a booking but how much notice you give and whether you say anything at all. You keep your deposit by giving notice inside the stated window — four hours for an hourly booking, 24 hours for a dinner date, 48 hours for an overnight, a week for travel — and by moving the date rather than cancelling outright, since a rescheduled deposit follows the booking. Our deposit policies post covers when a deposit applies in the first place.
The Notice Windows by Booking Type
Notice scales with what the booking commits. An hourly outcall costs a companion two hours and needs four hours' notice; a week as a travel companion costs her the week and needs a week. Everything in between sits on that logic. Here is the full scale.
Notice Required, Format by Format
| Booking | Free to move or cancel | Inside the window |
|---|---|---|
| Hourly incall / outcall | 4+ hours' notice | Nothing owed (no deposit taken) |
| Dinner date | 24+ hours' notice | Deposit retained if one was taken |
| Overnight | 48+ hours' notice | Deposit retained |
| Event companion | 5+ days' notice | Deposit retained |
| Travel booking | 7+ days' notice | Deposit retained; travel costs recoverable from carriers |
Spain permits the sale of sexual services between consenting adults while prohibiting third-party profit from them — the legal framework is worth understanding once, since it shapes how agencies here operate.
Why the Windows Scale
An hourly booking cancelled at lunchtime can be refilled by evening, particularly in season. An August Saturday overnight cancelled at 8pm cannot be refilled at all — the companion has turned down every other enquiry for that night and there is no time to replace it. The window is simply an estimate of how long it takes to give the slot back to someone else, which is why it stretches as the booking gets larger.
Move the Date Rather Than Cancel It
Rescheduling is treated differently from cancelling. If you move a booking with reasonable notice, the deposit moves with it — to another night with the same companion where she is free, or to a comparable companion where she is not. This is the answer to almost every change of plan.
How to Move a Booking
One message with the new date and, if you have it, an alternative. We check availability and confirm. If your companion is not free on the new night we will suggest others of the same standard rather than simply refunding you, and there is no penalty for taking that option. The only real constraint is peak August, where a Saturday moved to another Saturday may find every companion already committed. Our seasonal rates post shows which weeks are genuinely tight.
If the New Date Prices Differently
The deposit transfers at face value and the balance adjusts. Moving a Wednesday to a Saturday adds the weekend premium — 15–25% depending on format — and moving a Saturday to a Wednesday removes it, in your favour. We will tell you the new total before confirming rather than surprising you with it on the night. The differential is set out in our weekend vs weekday post.
What Happens If You Cancel Inside the Window?
The deposit is retained. Not as a penalty, but as the compensation it was created to provide — your companion cleared the evening, turned other bookings down, and now has no evening. It is the same principle a restaurant applies to a large table on a Saturday. There are two humane exceptions.
Where We Are Flexible Anyway
Genuine emergencies and genuine travel disruption. A cancelled flight, a medical problem, a family emergency — in practice we hold the deposit against a future date rather than absorbing it, because clients in those situations are usually back within months and nobody benefits from being difficult. What we cannot do is apply that to a change of mind at 9pm on an August Saturday, because the cost of that evening is entirely real.
Shortening Rather Than Cancelling
If your evening has compressed rather than disappeared — dinner cancelled but you are still free later — say so. Converting an overnight into a shorter booking on the same night is usually straightforward and costs you the difference rather than the whole deposit. It is almost always a better outcome than cancelling and rebooking, and it takes one message.
No-Shows and Silence
A no-show is treated as a cancellation with zero notice: the full booking is owed if a deposit was taken, and future bookings are declined. It is the one thing in this business that is genuinely difficult to come back from. Ninety seconds of honesty avoids all of it.
Why It Is Taken Seriously
Your companion travelled to a hotel on the Golden Mile, at night, dressed for the evening, and stood in a lobby with an unanswered phone. It is not the money that causes the problem — it is that she has no way of knowing whether the booking is off or whether something has gone wrong, and that is an unpleasant position to put someone in. Any agency that keeps a roster will decline that client afterwards.
Just Send the Message
"Sorry — I have to cancel tonight" costs you nothing you have not already lost and preserves the relationship entirely. We have never once made an issue of a client who told us honestly and late. We have permanently closed the door on clients who said nothing. The asymmetry is enormous and the effort involved is a single line of text.
If We Have to Cancel
You are told the moment we know, offered alternative companions of the same standard, and refunded in full immediately if none suits. We do not tell you on the night, and we do not make our problem your problem. It happens rarely, and it is handled the same way every time.
Alternatives First, Refund Second
Illness, a delayed return from a previous booking, a genuine emergency — these occur in any business staffed by people. Our first move is to offer two or three companions of comparable standard for the same slot, because most clients would rather have the evening than the money back. If none of them suits, the deposit is returned in full without being chased, usually the same day.
What a Good Agency Does Not Do
Substitute a different companion without telling you. Go quiet and hope. Offer a credit instead of a refund. Any of those is a reason to book elsewhere next time, and they appear in our red flags post for that reason. The measure of an agency is how it behaves on the evening it gets something wrong, not on the twenty evenings it gets right.
Practical Advice for Uncertain Plans
If your schedule is genuinely unsettled, book later in the evening, choose a format with a shorter notice window, and tell us the plan is provisional. We would rather hold a flexible booking than lose a firm one. Three habits that prevent the problem.
Book the Later Slot
A 10pm start survives a dinner that overruns; an 8pm start does not. If your evening has an unpredictable first half — a business dinner, a boat, a long lunch in Puerto Banús that has developed — book the companion for after it rather than in the middle of it. In our experience this single adjustment eliminates most last-minute changes entirely.
Say That It Is Provisional
We will treat a booking flagged as provisional differently: we will confirm it later in the day, and we will not take a deposit if the format does not strictly require one. That transparency costs you nothing and gives us the information to plan around. Send the details on WhatsApp and browse current availability while you decide.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much notice do I need to cancel an escort booking in Marbella?
Four hours for an hourly booking, 24 hours for a dinner date, 48 hours for an overnight, five days for an event companion and a week for travel. The windows scale with how much of your companion's diary the booking commits and how long it takes to refill the slot.
Can I move my booking to another night instead of cancelling?
Yes, and it is almost always the better option. With reasonable notice the deposit moves with the booking — to another night with the same companion where she is free, or to a comparable companion where she is not. There is no penalty for taking that option.
Do I lose my deposit if I cancel late?
Inside the notice window, yes. Your companion cleared the evening and turned other bookings down, so the deposit becomes the compensation it was created to provide. Genuine emergencies and travel disruption are usually held against a future date instead.
What happens if I do not show up?
A no-show is treated as a cancellation with zero notice: the full booking is owed if a deposit was taken, and future bookings are declined. A single message saying you have to cancel costs you nothing more and preserves the relationship completely.
What if the agency has to cancel on me?
You are told the moment we know, offered two or three alternative companions of the same standard for the same slot, and refunded in full immediately if none suits. You should never be told on the night, and a credit is not an acceptable substitute for a refund.
Plans Changed? Just Tell Us
Message us as early as you can and we will move the booking rather than lose it — same companion where she is free, a comparable one where she is not. No drama, no penalty, and your deposit follows the date.
