Renting a Bugatti in Puerto Banús? What You Can Actually Hire in 2026

Every summer someone asks us to arrange a Bugatti for a Saturday in Puerto Banús, usually with a companion in the passenger seat and dinner afterwards. We arrange the company, not the car, but we have learnt the rental market well enough to give an honest answer. In October 2026 no Marbella rental fleet we could find lists a Bugatti; what you can hire are Lamborghinis, Ferraris and McLarens at roughly €800 to €1,200 a day, with deposits up to €5,000, and an "on request" Bugatti deserves real scepticism.

Can You Rent a Bugatti in Puerto Banús?

Not from any published fleet we found. We checked the Marbella operators we could find with live 2026 price lists, and the most exotic cars offered were a Lamborghini Huracán EVO and a McLaren 720S Spider. Any Bugatti you see on the port belongs to its owner, not to a rental firm.

Why Bugattis Are Not on Rental Lists

Numbers and money. Bugatti built the Chiron from 2016 until May 2024, about 500 cars in all, at a base price of €2.4 million, with 1,500 metric horsepower and a top speed electronically limited to 420 km/h. Few of the owners of so rare a car want strangers driving it, and few insurers will cover a stranger for a day. The rare exceptions are arranged privately, through owners' clubs or specialist brokers, not from a showroom at the port.

If Someone Offers One "On Request"

Ask for the registration number, a copy of the vehicle's registration document, the name of the insurer and a written contract naming the car before you send anything. Never pay a deposit to an anonymous messaging account, and be wary of any hypercar priced suspiciously close to a Lamborghini. An owner willing to lend a car of this value will want to vet the driver and may insist on supplying one, which turns the rental into a chauffeured ride.

What You Can Actually Hire on the Coast in 2026

Supercars and luxury SUVs. Luxury Car Hire Marbella publishes €1,200 a day for a Lamborghini Urus, a Huracán EVO or a Ferrari California, and €850 for a Mercedes G63. Marbella Prestige Cars lists a McLaren 720S Spider from €890, a Ferrari F8 Spider from €790 and a Rolls-Royce Cullinan from €1,290.

Supercar, Not Hypercar, and a Warning About Labels

Marbella Prestige Cars calls its Ferraris, Lamborghini and McLaren a hypercar collection, yet its own site says its current available fleet focuses on luxury SUVs, executive saloons and electric performance cars, so confirm the exact car for your dates before planning around it. Luxury Car Hire Marbella is blunter: if you want a mid-engined Ferrari, it does not have one, and the Huracán is the closest thing in its fleet. Deposits, Insurance and the Fine Print

Expect a deposit in four figures and read the insurance clause twice. Luxury Car Hire Marbella takes €5,000 on the Urus, in cash, by transfer, in cryptocurrency or on a card, and includes comprehensive cover with no excess. Cover applies only to drivers named on the contract, and driving under the influence voids it.

The Deposit

The operator's 2026 terms say the deposit is refundable, taken at handover and released when the car comes back in the same condition; other cars are quoted individually. A card hold of €5,000 often fails on a card already carrying flights and a villa, which, the operator says, is why it accepts other methods. Ask how many days the release takes once the car is back, and get the answer in the confirmation rather than at the desk.

Who May Drive, and Where

Every driver must be named on the contract and show a licence held for at least 12 months; licences from outside the EU may need an international permit alongside. An unnamed person at the wheel invalidates the insurance. The car may be used on mainland Spanish roads only, with no subletting and no competitive events, and a ferry or another country needs written permission. Fuel is full-to-full, and tolls, fines and parking are the driver's responsibility. Marbella Prestige Cars states that age limits, deposits, mileage and insurance vary by car.

Delivery and Handover

Collection at the Marbella office is free; delivery costs €50 to Marbella, Puerto Banús, San Pedro, Nueva Andalucía, Benahavís or Estepona, and €150 to Málaga airport arrivals, where the flight is tracked. Handovers between 22:00 and 06:00 may carry a surcharge. The car is photographed with you at handover and return, bodywork and fuel gauge included. Keep your own photographs as well, especially of the wheels and the front splitter, which are the parts low cars damage first.

Where to Drive It From Puerto Banús

Inland, not along the coast road. Istán is 18 kilometres and about 22 minutes from Puerto Banús up a winding road to a white village and reservoir; Ojén is 14 minutes from central Marbella; and the A-397 to Ronda is the long drive. The coast road in August is a queue with speed cameras.

For a two-hour hire, Istán is the right length: up through the hills, a coffee in the village, back down with the coast spread out below. Ojén, nine kilometres from central Marbella, is a shorter loop. For a full day, the A-397 climbs from San Pedro to Ronda over about 50 kilometres of bends, and our Ronda wineries guide covers what to do at the top, with a driver if anyone is tasting. Low cars and mountain roads mean early starts in summer, before the traffic and the heat.

Speed: Where a Fine Becomes a Crime

Spain's motorway limit is 120 km/h. Under article 379 of the Criminal Code, driving 80 km/h over the limit on an interurban road, or 60 km/h over in town, is a criminal offence, punishable by three to six months in prison, a fine or community work, and in every case a driving ban of more than one and up to four years. So 200 km/h on the AP-7 is not a speeding ticket. Below those thresholds it is an ordinary fine, and drivers without a Spanish address can be asked to pay it on the spot.

Want to Use the Power? Book a Circuit

Go to Ascari Race Resort, the private circuit near Ronda: 5.4 kilometres and 26 corners, opened in 2003 by the Dutch entrepreneur Klaas Zwart. Non-members get in only by booking a driving experience or as part of a private event. A rental contract that bans competitive use rules out taking a hire car there.

The circuit's 5,425 metres include 13 right-hand and 13 left-hand corners, and the resort has its own helipad, which makes it reachable from the coast by air as well as by the A-397; our helicopter transfer guide explains how private landings are arranged. Because it is private, access, cars and prices depend on the experience or event you book, so ask what car you will drive, with which instructor and for how many laps before paying.

Track Day or Road Day?

On the road, a supercar spends most of its time below 120 km/h, and the pleasure is the sound, the looks and the mountain bends. On a circuit, with an instructor, you find out what the car can actually do without risking your licence or a criminal record. Parking and the Evening Drive Along the Port

Low cars and Puerto Banús need care. One operator's guidance puts the marina car park's height limit at 2.10 metres and the Antonio Banderas car park's at 2.20, and the real risks are the ramps, the kerbs on the front and the speed bumps through Nueva Andalucía. Take them slowly and at an angle.

The operator says everything in its fleet fits under both barriers; the trouble is the ramp lip and the kerbs outside the restaurants on the front, which catch front splitters. Lower an adjustable car such as the Urus before the barrier, take ramps diagonally, and never square-on at speed. Damage from grounding the car is treated like any other damage, so it comes out of the deposit unless your insurance is genuinely excess-free, which is worth confirming in writing.

The Slow Lap of the Port

The evening ritual is a slow drive along the front at walking pace, a stop where the valets allow, and dinner. It takes twenty minutes and needs no horsepower at all, which is why a chauffeured car often delivers the same evening without a deposit. A Companion in the Passenger Seat

Book the companion for the evening, with the car as the opening act: collection at 19:30, the mountain road or a slow lap of the port, then dinner. On the Golden Mile and in Puerto Banús an hour costs €300 in 2026, and a dinner date is three hours at least, so from €900.

Planning the Evening Around the Car

A two-seater has room for two people and almost no luggage, so tell us if the plan involves the car and we brief the companion on shoes and a small bag. Not everyone enjoys two hours in a loud, low car on mountain bends; say what the drive involves and we suggest someone who will enjoy it. A dinner date covers the drive and dinner; a full day out is priced at €300 an hour, and a travel companion booking, €5,000 a day plus flights and hotel, is for trips that take you away from the coast.

Rates and What to Send Us

Send the date, the collection point, the car if you have booked one, the route and the restaurant. The price is the same at weekends and in July and August, but summer Saturdays fill early, so send the date as soon as you have it. Our change windows are 24 hours before a dinner date and 48 hours before an overnight, and the cancellation guide lists the rest.
