April and early May on this coast deliver genuinely good beach weather — well over 300 sunny days a year, and daytime temperatures comfortable for a full day outside. The sea, however, is still cold. Manage that one expectation.
The Air Is Fine
Comfortable for a beach club day in a way that surprises northern European visitors — the Costa del Sol earns its name across most of the year, and an April afternoon on a terrace is entirely pleasant. Bring something for the evening, when it drops quickly.
The Sea Is Not
