La Cabane Marbella: Kimpton Los Monteros' Beach Club, Menu, Rules and 2026 Prices

La Cabane is often placed on the Golden Mile or on Playa Nagüeles. It is neither: it sits at the end of Calle Jabalí in Los Monteros, about 6 km east of Marbella's old town, as the beach club of the Kimpton Los Monteros hotel. It dates from 1965, celebrated its sixtieth season in 2025 and is now run by Dani García's restaurant group and Grupo Mosh, with interiors dressed by Dolce&Gabbana. Where Is La Cabane?

On Calle Jabalí in Los Monteros, East Marbella, on the beach about 600 metres from the Kimpton Los Monteros hotel and roughly 6 km east of the old town. It is the hotel's beach club, listed among its restaurants, and has nothing to do with Playa Nagüeles or the Golden Mile, which lie west of the centre.

The Kimpton Los Monteros Beach Club

Kimpton Los Monteros, the old Los Monteros hotel, reopened under IHG's Kimpton brand on 27 February 2025 with 195 rooms, lists La Cabane by Dolce&Gabbana among its own restaurants and describes it as facing the sea, steps from the hotel. On the map it is about 600 metres from the hotel, which stands at kilometre 187 of the old coast road, down to the sand at the end of Calle Jabalí. Not Nagüeles, Not the Golden Mile

The mix-up is persistent, and it costs people taxi fares. Playa Nagüeles is west of the centre, below the Golden Mile hotels; La Cabane is east, between the Las Adelfas and El Alicate beaches, among the residential estates of Los Monteros and El Rosario. From a Golden Mile hotel the drive is 10 to 12 km, from Puerto Banús about 15 km, from the old town about 7 km. Sixty Years on the Same Sand

La Cabane dates from 1965 and marked its sixtieth season in 2025. Today it carries three names: Dolce&Gabbana, which dressed the space; Grupo Dani García, which runs the kitchen; and Grupo Mosh, the Marbella group behind Playa Padre. The 2026 menu is themed on Slim Aarons' photographs of 1960s Marbella.

From 1965 to a Slim Aarons Menu

The club tells its history through its guests: it names Julio Iglesias, Elton John, Sean Connery, Sylvester Stallone, Lola Flores and the Thyssen barons among those who have spent afternoons there, and the 2026 menu prints a 1985 photograph of Julio Iglesias and Stevie Wonder at La Cabane. This year's theme is Slim Aarons, the American photographer of 1960s and 1970s leisure, and his Marbella of whitewashed villas, turquoise pools and long lunches by the sea. That is still the register the club sells.

Dolce&Gabbana, Dani García, Grupo Mosh

Dolce&Gabbana's part is visual: Carretto Siciliano prints, the patterns of Sicilian painted carts, across the pool area and the Dolci Room, a dessert space the brand designed. Grupo Dani García, the chef's group behind the Smoked Room, sets the menu under the line il piacere di mangiare. Grupo Mosh, which also runs Playa Padre and Nido in Estepona, handles the beach-club side. The result is a restaurant that happens to have a pool, rather than a pool club with a kitchen.

Opening Hours and the Door Policy

The pool opens daily from 11:00 to 20:00 in high season and from 12:00 in low season, and the kitchen serves from 13:00 to 17:00. Nobody under 16 is admitted to the pool area, under-18s need a guardian, sportswear and hen or stag kit are refused, and small dogs come in a carrier.

Eleven Until Eight, Kitchen One Until Five

The door policy gives the pool hours as 11:00 to 20:00 every day in high season and 12:00 to 20:00 in low season, and the contact page lists the kitchen from 13:00 to 17:00. That window is the fixed point of the day: a 14:30 table is mid-service, a 16:45 table is last orders. Tables are booked as a two-hour experience and held for 15 minutes past the booking time, and a no-show is charged €50 per person to the card that guaranteed it. Apart from the summer Sunset Dinners, the club closes at 20:00, before sunset in July.

The Rules at the Door

The age rule is the one to know: nobody under 16 is admitted to the pool area, and under-18s must be with a legal guardian. Sportswear is refused, shoes and a dress or shirt are required in the restaurant, and hen and stag groups in matching outfits are turned away. Tanning lotions are not accepted, the towels carry anti-theft tags, and small dogs are welcome in a carrier. Pool reservations are prepaid; cancel in writing at least 24 hours ahead and you receive a credit voucher for the same value, valid for the rest of the season.

The Pool, the Beds and the Terrace

The day centres on an infinity pool that the hotel describes as blending into the sea, with Balinese beds and sunbeds around it and La Terrazza, a terrace of high and low tables, beside it. Beds are sold as prepaid reservations on the club's booking page, and the club does not publish a fixed price list.

Booking a Pool Bed

Pool beds and Balinese beds are reserved and paid for in advance through the booking page on the club's website. La Cabane does not print a price list on its site, and we would rather send you there than print a guess. Two things are fixed: the booking is prepaid, and a cancellation made in writing more than 24 hours ahead becomes a credit voucher, not a refund. La Terrazza and the Sunset Dinners

Next to the pool, La Terrazza mixes high and low tables for aperitifs, and it is the place for a drink if you have not booked a bed. In July and August the hotel runs Sunset Dinners on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays: dinner on the terrace with live music and a Mediterranean menu, the only nights the club stays open past 20:00. The hotel's page now shows them as closed, which is normal once August is over; look for the dates from June.

What Does Lunch at La Cabane Cost in 2026?

Restaurant prices, not beach-bar prices. On the 2026 menu, starters and crudos run €18 to €39, pastas €26 to €96 and mains €35 to €55, with a 600 g Angus ribeye at €130 and caviar from €200 for 50 g. VAT is included and a 10% service charge is added to the bill.

The Dani García Menu

The menu reads Italian more than Andalusian. Starters include an Italian-style scallop ceviche with Parmesan and basil at €28, bluefin tuna tartare with stracciatella at €39, octopus carpaccio at €22 and burrata caprese at €24. Pastas run from green cappellacci at €26 and lemon tagliolini with red prawns at €42 to the captain's linguine at €69 and the house pasta with Belvedere vodka sauce and caviar at €96. Sole meunière is €55, chicken al mattone €35, and lobster, king crab and carabineros are priced on request.

Three Ways to Do Lunch for Two

Cocktails, Champagne and Bottle Service

Cocktails are €24 on the 2026 list, with a Sgroppino at €18. At the pool, Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label is €200, Dom Pérignon €650 and Whispering Angel €90; bottle service starts at €380 for vodka, gin or rum, and the club's champagne shows run from €3,500 to €7,800.

Cocktails and Wine

The cocktail list leans on Italian aperitivo ideas. Zafferano mixes Gin Mare with saffron, bergamot and champagne; Picante is Patrón Silver with watermelon and chilli; the Sgroppino, lemon sorbet with limoncello and champagne, is €18 and the most sensible order of a hot afternoon. In rosé, Whispering Angel is €90 a bottle and €200 a magnum, Domaine Ott €130 and Minuty 281 €180. Champagne at the pool starts with Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label at €200 and rises through Dom Pérignon 2015 at €650 to Cristal 2015 at €780.

Bottle Service and the Shows

Spirits by the bottle start at €380 for Belvedere, Hendrick's, Patrón Silver or Bacardi 8, and reach €6,000 for Louis XIII cognac. The club also sells champagne shows, several bottles delivered with ceremony: €3,500 for five Dom Pérignon Vintage Luminous, €4,400 for five Dom Pérignon Rosé, and €7,800 for five of each. It is the one part of La Cabane that behaves like a party club, and it is rarely what our clients come here for.

Who La Cabane Suits, and When to Choose Another Club

It suits couples and small groups who want lunch to be the event, guests of the Kimpton, and anyone who prefers a pool without children under 16. It does not suit a party, a late finish or a tight budget; for those, Playa Padre, Ocean Club or a chiringuito do the job better.

Where La Cabane Wins

La Cabane is at its best between 13:00 and 19:00 on a weekday: lunch at 14:00, the pool afterwards, a walk on the beach before the 20:00 close. Of the beach clubs we book, it is the most restaurant-like, and the 16-plus pool rule keeps the afternoon calm. It also works as the first afternoon of a trip, when a long lunch and an early night beat a club; our four-day itinerary opens exactly that way.

Where We Send People Instead

For a Sunday with a DJ that ends at midnight, Grupo Mosh's other club, Playa Padre, is about 5 km west on El Cable beach. For champagne by a pool next to Puerto Banús, Ocean Club sells beds as bottle packages from €300 for three. For the biggest party on the east side, Nikki Beach is about 5 km further east in Elviria. And when La Cabane closes at 20:00, the hotel's own Escondido Rooftop, about 600 metres back at the hotel, is the obvious place to watch the sunset with a drink.

A La Cabane Day With a Companion

Plan around the kitchen. Book a table for 14:00 or 14:30 and the pool for the afternoon, and finish before the 20:00 close. East Marbella is inside Marbella, so the standard €300 an hour applies, and a lunch that runs into the evening is simply more hours at the same rate.

Timing the Afternoon

The 13:00 to 17:00 kitchen and the two-hour table slot shape the day. We suggest the companion meets you at the club at 13:45 for a 14:00 table, which leaves the pool from 16:00 to 19:30 and time to change before dinner. A lunch-led afternoon suits a dinner-date companion better than a party one: someone who enjoys a long table and conversation. Brief her on the door policy in advance: no sportswear, shoes and a cover-up in the restaurant, and no tanning lotion.

Rates, Notice and Cancellation

Los Monteros is inside the Marbella municipality, so standard rates apply: €300 an hour, from €900 for a three-hour dinner date and €3,000 to €4,000 for an overnight, the same at weekends, and you pay her taxi. If the day starts or ends at the Kimpton, an outcall to the hotel is routine.
