Marbella keeps late hours, and visitors assume its kitchens do too. They mostly do not: plenty of restaurants stay open until one or two in the morning, but the cooks go home around 23:30, and after that the bar sells drinks to a room that has already eaten. In 2026 only a handful of sit-down kitchens in Marbella take orders after midnight, led by Pica Pica at Puente Romano (last order 00:30) and COYA on Fridays and Saturdays (food until 00:00); everywhere else, order by 23:30.

Can You Get Dinner After Midnight in Marbella?

Yes, but in few places. Restaurants may legally stay open until 02:00, and an hour later at weekends, yet most kitchens stop between 23:00 and 23:45. What Andalusian Rules Allow

Opening hours in Andalusia are set by the Orden de 25 de marzo de 2002 of the regional government, published in BOJA no. 43. Restaurants and bars without music may open from 06:00 and must close by 02:00. On Fridays, Saturdays and the eve of a public holiday they may close an hour later. Terraces may serve food and drink only until the venue's own closing time and never after 02:00. Restaurants inside hotels may stay open an extra hour for resident guests only, and town councils may extend hours for local fiestas. None of this obliges a kitchen to stay open; it only sets the outer limit.

Why Dinner Starts So Late Here

Spanish dinner at 21:30 or 22:00 is partly a matter of the clock. Since 1940 mainland Spain has kept Central European Time, an hour ahead of the zone it sits in geographically, as the entry on Spain's time zone sets out, so the sun sets late and every meal follows it. In early August the sun sets after 21:00 on the Costa del Sol. A 22:00 table is normal, 23:00 is late, and a kitchen still cooking at 00:30 is the exception this guide is about.

Which Kitchens Serve Latest? The 2026 Times

Ranked by the last food order we could verify: Pica Pica at 00:30, COYA at 00:00 on Fridays and Saturdays, Cipriani at 23:45, then COYA (Sunday to Thursday), Nobu and the Nomad kitchen at 23:30. Gold in Puerto Banús and Les Jardins du Liban stay open until 01:00 but do not publish kitchen times.

Reading the Table

Two patterns stand out. First, the late kitchens cluster inside Puente Romano, where several restaurants share one resort and stagger their hours; if a plan collapses at 23:00, that is the place to go. Second, a closing time of 01:00 tells you nothing about food: Nomad's own page lists the venue open until 02:00 on Fridays and Saturdays and the kitchen closed at 23:30. Times were checked on each venue's own website in October 2026, and they change with the season, so confirm by phone on the day. Puente Romano: Where the Late Kitchens Are

Three kitchens inside Puente Romano cover the hour after midnight between them. Pica Pica serves New York-style pizza until a 00:30 last order, COYA serves Peruvian food until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays before its club opens, and Cipriani takes main-course orders until 23:45 and desserts until 00:30.

Pica Pica: The 00:30 Order

Pica Pica opens at 18:30 every night, takes its last booking at midnight and its last food order at 00:30, and closes at 01:00. The kitchen is open to the room and cooks New York-style pizzas, some named after the staff, plus antipasti, mozzarella sticks, vodka pasta and lasagna. The setting is 1980s New York with a Mediterranean accent: a DJ, Caribbean rum cocktails and shisha. It is loud and casual, which is exactly what a late table after a show or a long flight usually needs. Book through the resort's online system, and take the 00:00 slot if your night is running late.

COYA and Cipriani: Late Tables With a Deadline

COYA opens at 19:00 daily and takes its last food orders at 23:30 from Sunday to Thursday and at midnight on Friday and Saturday; nobody under 18 is admitted after 21:00, and COYA Club runs from 21:00 to 04:00 from Thursday to Saturday, so dinner can turn into dancing without a taxi. Cipriani, the Venetian name founded in 1931, serves until 01:00 with a last kitchen order at 23:45 and desserts and drinks until 00:30. It limits tables to two hours and asks for prepayment confirmation 24 hours ahead, so a 23:00 booking there means ordering mains at once.

Puerto Banús and Nueva Andalucía After Eleven

Around the port, Gold on the Benabolá front has served Italian food since 2004 and stays open until 01:00, while La Habana Lounge closes at midnight. Inland in Nueva Andalucía, Nomad keeps its kitchen until 23:30 at weekends. None publishes a kitchen time after midnight, so call ahead.

Gold, at Benabolá block 13 on the Puerto Banús front, describes itself as authentic Italian cooking facing the sea and has been open since 2004; it serves every day from 12:00 to 01:00, and its terrace looks over the water. La Habana Lounge, also in Puerto Banús, cooks seafood and opens daily from 13:00 to midnight, and it gives two hours of free parking at the Mathilda car park if you show the ticket. Neither publishes a separate kitchen time, which in practice means the kitchen may stop well before the doors close; ask when you book. Nomad on Avenida del Prado

Nomad, at Avenida del Prado 10 in Nueva Andalucía, publishes the most honest timetable on the coast: open Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday from 18:00 to 01:00 and Friday and Saturday until 02:00, closed Monday and Tuesday, with the kitchen open until 23:00 on Wednesday and Thursday and until 23:30 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (when it also serves lunch from 13:00). It welcomes walk-ins but recommends booking. If you arrive at 23:15 on a Thursday, you will be drinking, not eating, and that is worth knowing before the taxi leaves.

How Do You Book a Late Table?

Book the last seating, not a table after it, and ask two questions when you reserve: what time the kitchen closes (¿hasta qué hora está abierta la cocina?) and when the last order is taken (¿a qué hora es la última comanda?). Order mains with the first drinks, and keep the dessert for the bar.

The Two Questions That Matter

Opening hours and kitchen hours are separate decisions, and kitchen hours move with the season and the night's bookings. A request by phone or in the booking notes for "a late table, with the kitchen still open" usually gets an honest answer and sometimes a held order. At Cipriani the rule is fixed: last kitchen order 23:45, two-hour tables, prepayment confirmed 24 hours ahead. At Pica Pica the latest booking is midnight. Anywhere else, assume 23:30 unless told otherwise, and do not count on a terrace after 02:00, which the regional rules forbid.

The Hotel Guest's Extra Hour

One rule helps people staying in a resort: a restaurant inside a hotel may stay open an hour beyond the normal limit for hotel residents only. It does not force any kitchen to cook, but it is why hotel bars and room service are the most dependable late food on the coast. If you land late, call the hotel before the flight and ask what the kitchen or room service can still send up; many will hold an order if asked in time. After One in the Morning: What Is Left

Not restaurants. By 01:00 the sit-down kitchens are closed, and what remains is bar food, hotel room service, and the churros and toasted rolls of the early-morning cafés. Planning a Night Around a Late Dinner

The schedule that works: a 22:30 table at a kitchen that cooks until 00:30, food ordered by 23:00, coffee at the bar, and the club or the quay from 01:00, when Puerto Banús fills. Arriving at 23:45 for a full dinner anywhere else is the plan that most often ends with bread and olives.

Booking a Late Dinner With a Companion

A late dinner with a companion is booked as a dinner date of three hours at least, from €900, timed from the table to the end of the last drink. If the night will run past 02:00, an overnight of ten to twelve hours, €3,000–€4,000 depending on the companion and the length, is usually the better format.

Dinner Date or Overnight?

For a 22:30 table and a club afterwards, the evening easily runs six hours, and that is where an overnight booking makes more sense than extending a dinner date twice. You pay the companion directly before the booking starts, in cash, by bank transfer or in crypto, as our payment guide explains. A booking made in advance takes a 25 per cent deposit by transfer or crypto, to her or to us, with the balance paid to her at the start; a same-day late dinner takes none.
