Marbella Events Calendar 2026: Every Festival, Party, and Weekend

The Costa del Sol's year has a shape that is worth knowing whether you are planning around an event or planning to avoid one. A handful of dates fill the coast completely — every restaurant booked, every taxi taken, every rate at its ceiling — and several of them fall well outside August. Equally, the genuinely quiet weeks are more numerous than the reputation suggests. Certain Marbella weekends price and book like peak August whatever the month: Semana Santa, the June feria, Starlite headline nights, race weekends and the Málaga feria — while November to March, outside Christmas, is the cheapest and most available window. The Year at a Glance

Four things structure the calendar: Easter, the June feria, the summer season from July to early September, and the winter quiet. Everything else clusters around those. Here is the whole year.

Month by Month

Semana Santa is Spain's largest domestic travel week and its date moves each year, which shifts the whole spring calendar on this coast with it.

The Principle

Event weekends override the seasonal calendar entirely. A Saturday in May with a headline event on it behaves like an August Saturday for every service on the coast, including restaurants, taxis and companion availability. Our lead times post covers the practical consequence.

Easter: Semana Santa

Spain's biggest domestic travel week, filling the coast for eight days. The date moves between late March and late April, and everything else in the spring calendar — including the beach club openings — moves with it. Check the date each year.

What Happens

Processions in the old town and across Andalusia, an influx of Spanish visitors, and a coast that is genuinely full for the week. It is culturally the most significant thing that happens here and it is worth seeing once — our Semana Santa post covers the processions and how to attend them.

And the Beach Clubs Open

Because Easter marks the start of the season, the opening parties cluster around and after it. That makes the fortnight following Easter one of the better windows of the year — the season has started and the crowds have gone home.

June: The Feria de San Bernabé

Marbella's own fair, honouring the town's patron saint, taking over the town for roughly a week in June. It is the most genuinely local event in the calendar and it fills the town rather than the coast. Different from the summer festivals.

What a Feria Is

A week of daytime processions and horse displays in the old town and night-time fairground and casetas on the fairground site — food, sherry, dancing and music until dawn. The Effect on the Coast

The town is full and the beach areas are relatively unaffected. It is one of the few events in the calendar where the impact is geographically concentrated — a hotel on the Golden Mile may barely notice it. Restaurants in the old town, however, are booked out.

The Summer Season: July to Early September

The Starlite Festival runs across most of it, the beach clubs are at full programme, the Málaga feria falls in August, and the first three weeks of August are the peak of the entire year. Four things to know.

Starlite

The Málaga Feria

Santa María Polo Club's summer season peaks in August at Sotogrande, forty-five minutes west, with finals weekends that fill that estate entirely — our polo post covers them. Regatta dates fill Puerto Banús similarly.

The Weekends That Override the Calendar

Race weekends, Starlite headline nights, feria weeks, polo finals and New Year's Eve. Each fills the coast and prices like peak August regardless of the month it falls in. Treat all of them as two-week lead times.

The Dates to Check

The Quiet Windows

Late April to early June, late September to early December, and January to March excluding the Christmas fortnight. Those are the cheapest, most available and — for a lot of visitors — most pleasant weeks of the year. Three windows worth knowing.

Late April to June

January to March

How Do You Plan Around It?

Check whether your dates collide with anything before booking flights. If they do and you are attending, allow two weeks for everything. If they do and you are not, move by a week. Two practical rules.
